FarmHouse Inc announced a new licensing agreement with a Mega Mutant Ape NFT. The company teased the collaboration via Twitter on Monday. The NFT at hand is the Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) #30000, also known as “Mega Robot.” The licensing agreement allows cannabis companies to license one of the most iconic NFTs in the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) universe.

Farmhouse is a marijuana company tapping into the NFT ecosystem. Its latest licensing deal with Mega Robot aims to position Farmhouse as the primary link between cannabis brands and NFT holders.

FarmHouse has been actively expanding its NFT licensing portfolio since June. The company’s portfolio now includes popular collections like Bored Ape Yacht Club, MAYC, CryptoPunks, Meebits, CrypToadz, Doodles, and more.
What’s Special About this Mutant Ape NFT?
The Mega Robot NFT, owned by Twitter user @Mr_Robot, holds a special place in the BAYC universe. It is one of the highly exclusive 12 Mega Mutant Apes. Moreover, Mega Robot mutated into a Mega Mutant Ape through the use of “Mutant Serum.” It was the first NFT to do so.
The MAYC is an NFT collection by Yuga Labs. Users can mutate an existing Bored Ape by exposing it to the Mutant Serum. The Mega Serum is a highly sought-after NFT due to its unpredictability in transforming a Bored Ape. In August 2022, the Trippy Mega Mutant Bored Ape #30005, one of the twelve Mega Mutant Apes NFTs, was sold for a record-breaking 2300 ETH ($3.91 million).
Can Popular NFTs Boost Sales?
FarmHouse aims to help marijuana businesses reach web3 consumers by licensing recognizable NFTs. Previously, Farmhouse has reported successful results from this strategy, with NFT-branded house weed having achieved quarterly sell-through rates of over 80%. This is not new, however. Other brands have leveraged Bored Apes NFTs to represent their web3 arms online.
