The Big East Tournament is set to get started today and the second game on the slate is a showdown between the No. 7 seed Seton Hall and the No. 10 seed DePaul.

DePaul finished just one game above the last place Georgetown, which means Seton Hall is a sizable favorite in the opening round of the Big East Tournament.

Can DePaul pull off the unlikely upset?

Let’s take a look at the odds and then I’ll give you my best bet.

DePaul vs. Seton Hall odds, spread, and total

DePaul vs. Seton Hall prediction and pick

Seton Hall has one of the most underrated defenses in the country, and that’s going to be the difference maker in this Big East matchup.

Entering the game, the Pirates rank 42nd in the country in defensive efficiency, which is exactly where DePaul is weak, coming in at 298th in that stat. Seton Hall also ranks 43rd in opponent effective field goal percentage.

Also, keep an eye on Seton Hall to grab plenty of offensive rebounds. DePaul is one of the worst defensive rebounding teams in the country, grabbing only 67.9% of available defensive rebounds, which ranks 348th in the country.

I’ll back the Pirates to win and cover in this one.

Odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
