Tiger Blvd. location opens with reimagined store design
Athens, GA (RestaurantNews.com) Saucy chicken chain Zaxby’s®, the premium quick-service restaurant, beloved for its Chicken Fingerz™, wings and legendary Zax Sauce®, is reimagining its service for the Clemson, South Carolina area with its remodeled restaurant at 1059 Tiger Blvd. as a to-go-only location. After an extensive renovation, the newly redesigned Zaxby’s is now open for drive-thru and take-out only.
“We’re excited to bring this new Zaxby’s experience to Clemson,” said Douglas Fleming, regional director of operations. “We look forward to continuing to serve the community our delicious chicken fingers, wings and salads—with even more speed and convenience.”
The 2,084 square-foot restaurant is Zaxby’s newest prototype design for a to-go-only restaurant. The building’s footprint is roughly two-thirds the size of a traditional Zaxby’s location. It includes a walk-up window for guests to place to-go orders. Guests will experience expedited drive-thru service with a new, covered double drive-thru layout for faster pay and pickup. The location will not offer indoor seating. Zaxby’s is on trend with this latest restaurant concept. According to the Wall Street Journal, heightened consumer demand for food to go is expected to last well beyond the pandemic.
For even faster service, customers may order ahead online via zaxbys.com as well as through the new Zaxby’s app available for download on Google Play and the App Store. Customers may now also order delivery directly through the new app.
An alternative to fast food, Zaxby’s serves fresh, prepared-at-order Chicken Fingerz and wings tossed in a variety of bold and spicy sauces. The menu also features the brand’s newest limited time offer, the Asian Zensation Zalad, served with a hand rolled vegetable egg roll. Brand fans will enjoy a free Big Zax Snak® when downloading or updating the app and signing up for the new Zax Rewardz program for the first time.
