Former Love Island star Faye Winter has officially confirmed her split from Teddy Soares, after the pair dated for just over a year.

Faye posted a picture of her dog Bonnie to her Instagram stories with a statement that read: “I wanted to let you know that after lots of time and consideration, Teddy and I have decided to go our separate ways.

“Thank you all so much for supporting our relationship and sharing the journey with us.”

She concluded her message by saying: “Lots of love, Faye and Bonnie.”

Prior to their split, Faye, 27, and Teddy, 28, were the last couple remaining from Season 7 of Love Island, which took place in 2021.

Faye, who is originally from Devon, moved in with Teddy in London in August, 2021, just a month after the show ended, and they further cemented their relationship when they got their Golden Retriever puppy, named Bonnie, together in September 2022.

It seems that Faye is now the sole owner of Bonnie, as the dog is often featured in her Instagram posts, and not in any of Teddy’s recent ones.

Despite the pair declaring in February 2022 that they would be “together forever” their relationship has been plagued with rumours of “crisis talks” and social media silence over the past couple of months, fuelling speculation that they had decided to go their separate ways.

Here, we take a closer look at all of the signs that Faye and Teddy had split.

Crying on social media

In mid-January Teddy posted a clip of himself crying to Instagram, as he revealed that he was in a “difficult position” and told his followers “it’s okay to cry,” whilst not revealing the reason for his upset.

He could be seen in a khaki green hoodie as he placed a hand on his head whilst tears could clearly be seen leaking from his eyes.

Teddy wrote: “Brave in sharing how I was feeling last week.”

He continued: “That’s why I thought I’d give you guys a bit of an insight into how I’ve been feeling recently and it’s not easy, it’s really not easy to obviously share your emotions, it’s not easy to wear your heart on your sleeve and announce it.

He said that his reasoning for posting such a raw thing on Instagram was because “it was not only about helping myself, but it was also about who it could also help in the process as well.”

Cryptic Valentine’s post

Faye took to Instagram this week to promote a range of sexy lingerie, just in time for Valentine’s Day on 14 February, however it was her cryptic caption that alluded to a split between her and Teddy.

She said: “Valentine’s isn’t just for couples, it’s also a time to fall in love with yourself,” before promoting the range, saying that it should “remind us that we are all strong, sexy and beautiful.”

In the comment section, a fan asked: “Does this mean it’s over?”

Another commented: “Does that mean you’re single?”

Rumours of “crisis talks”

Last month, the pair were reported to be holding “crisis talks” to discuss the future of their relationship, after spending long periods of time apart.

A source told The Sun: “Things haven’t been working between Teddy and Faye for a while now.

“The tension bubbled over a couple of weeks ago and they’ve been spending some time apart trying to figure out what they want.”

Social media silence

Faye and Teddy allegedly spent time apart

Faye and Teddy have both deleted their last Instagram post where they were seen together, from December 2022

Neither Faye or Teddy had posted on social media about each other for ten weeks, since they attended the Avatar: The Way of the Water movie premiere in London’s Leicester Square on December 8.

Teddy posted a snap of the pair looking loved up as they gazed into each other eyes, with Faye looking stunning in a light blue dress, whilst Teddy donned a velvet shirt and matching trousers in royal blue.

Recently, both of them deleted the snap in question from their Instagram grids, as it can no longer be seen.

Faye and Teddy unfollowed each other on social media, prior to Faye’s statement officially confirming the split, as neither can be found in each other’s Instagram follow list.

Teddy’s statement

On February 4, Teddy broke his silence on rumours of a ‘split’ with Faye as he posted a statement to Instagram.

It read: “Everything you have been reading in the press is false. I have nothing but love and respect for Faye since we first met.

“I do not wish to comment on rumours speculating our relationship and ask for you to respect our privacy at this time.”

In December 2022, Faye revealed that Teddy was “never home” as he had been working away a lot in travelling to California and Saudi Arabia.

Faye said: “It’s good when he’s here – he’s never at home!”

Crippling anxiety

Late last year, Faye admitted she was “in a really dark place” following the show, and wouldn’t go out of the house alone.

She said that she has “got really bad with my anxiety, social anxiety, and social situations” and said that there is “still a point” she won’t go out on her own to certain places.
