March beauty wishlist: Skincare and make-up products you’ll want this month

Hong Kong is going mask-free from today (March 1), and we couldn’t be happier. But after three years of wearing masks wherever we go in the city, showing our full face in public again can be a little nerve-wracking for some. But worry not—if you want to up your beauty game for the mask-free days ahead, we have lined up eight new products that promise to hydrate your skin, smooth out uneven texture and address pore problems so that you can step out with your best face forward.

1. La Mer Moisturising Soft Cream

3. Drunk Elephant Bouncy Brightfacial Mask

This leave-on mask from US-based brand Drunk Elephant is infused with 10% azelaic acid derived from barley, a concentration that the beauty brand’s research team claims can help improve discolouration from sun damage and post-acne scarring. The mask is also infused with plant oils—marula, chia, fermented green tea and pumpkin seed—that help keep the skin soft and supple. Apply two to three pumps as the last step in your night-time, or even your daytime routine, but don’t forget to apply a sunscreen on top of this mask.

4. Dior Sauvage Face Cleanser and Mask

Dior’s Sauvage range of grooming essentials comes with the same woody, aromatic freshness that has come to define Sauvage men’s perfumes. The latest addition to this grooming collection is a Facial Cleanser, which can be used for daily cleansing, and Mask that can be applied to dry skin for as a one-minute mask treatment once a week for a deep cleanse. Infused with cactus extract with exfoliating properties, this will help make the skin smoother over time.

5. Natura Bissé Diamond Luminous Collection

Barcelona-based Family-owned skincare brand Natura Bissé has introduced a new line called Diamond Luminous Collection that consists of a cream, serum and mask, which as a trio targets hyperpigmentation. Apply the serum daily on cleansed skin and concentrating on dark spots and follow up with the cream, and use the rinse-off mask once a week for ten minutes. The hyaluronic acid in these products will help hydrate your skin, while the turmeric extract, with its antioxidant properties, will help brighten your skin and reduce melatonin production. 6. L’Occitane Cerisier Litchi Collection

Transport yourself to South of France with L’Occitane’s Cerisier Litchi Collection that consists of an eau de toilette, shower gel, body milk and hand cream. In keeping with the brand’s founder’s love and fascination with the inherent properties of flowers, the latest collection harnesses the goodness of lychee and cherry blossoms, and infuses each product with their delicate and elegant scents.

7. Augustinus Bader Face Cream Mask

Founded by Professor Augustinus Bader, a leading stem cell and biomedical scientist, this skincare brand’s newest Face Cream Mask came about as a by-product of research intended to find a way to heal burns without surgery or skin grafting. Their patented treatment—the Trigger Factor Complex—encourages the body’s cells to repair and regenerate. This Complex is used in this product’s formula along with ginseng extract, that smooths the complexion, and Vitamin C, which stimulates collagen production.

8. Benefit POREfessional Pore Care collection

Renowned for its makeup, and particular its brow products, Benefit is making another stab at skin with its new skincare line, this time focusing on the pores.
