For small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) looking to expand their business through increased travel and face-to-face interaction with customers and partners, a travel grant can be a game-changer.

And now, Flight Centre Business Travel’s Corporate Travel Grant is offering over $40,000 in travel prizes to successful applicants, making it an opportunity too good to miss. The grant is currently open for applications, with a deadline of 5 pm AEST on Friday, 31 March 2023.

According to Flight Centre Business Travel’s Global Leader Cameron Harris, as travel restrictions ease and airlines increase their capacity, business travellers are feeling more confident about travelling again.

This has led to a preference for face-to-face meetings over virtual communication, making the Corporate Travel Grant all the more valuable to SMEs seeking to build their business relationships in person. With this grant, businesses can take advantage of the current environment to make important connections, expand their reach, and ultimately grow their business.

One of the judges on this year’s Corporate Travel Grant has provided some timely advice for those wishing to apply and try to achieve their business goals sooner.

Tonia Wilson, Virgin Australia National Account Manager and a Corporate Travel Grant judge in 2019 and 2023, said, “As a judge on the Corporate Travel Grant panel representing Virgin Australia, I’m looking for a pitch that captures my attention from the get-go.

“I am interested in how other businesses have achieved business success through being customer and people-focused, innovating to deliver value and customer success. I want to get to know the people behind the product.

“My advice is to bring your passion and personality to your pitch. Tell us why your business is unique, be confident, and most of all, have fun!”
