Stray Kids’ Han, Bangchan, Changbin, Jannabi’s Choi Jung Hoon, and more have been promoted to full members of the Korea Music Copyright Association (KMCA)!

According to the KMCA, about 47,000 composers and lyricists are registered as members of the association as of January 2023. Any copyright holder is able to join KMCA as a “junior member,” but the board of directors chooses just 25 junior members each year to promote to the status of “full members.” 22 members are chosen from the mainstream category, while the remaining three are chosen from the non-mainstream category.

This year’s list of those who have been promoted to full members include Stray Kids’ Han, Bangchan, and Changbin, who are also the members of their group’s own production team 3RACHA, as well as Jannabi’s Choi Jung Hoon and producers minGtion and 24 (Seo Jung Hoon).

Last year, Stray Kids’ mini albums “ODDINARY” and “MAXIDENT,” which 3RACHA participated in producing, topped the Billboard 200 main album chart.

Chairman of the KMCA Choo Ga Yeol remarked, “Congratulations to the young artists, who have shown their musical capabilities through K-pop which is enjoyed by people around the world, on their promotions to full members. Our association will also work harder on protecting the rights and interests of musicians to protect their passion.”

Congratulations to all the producers!
