Anderson married Lee on a beach in Mexico in 1995 after just four days of dating. Not long after the whirlwind romance, an hour-long sex tape was stolen and distributed by an employee without the couple’s consent. The pair divorced in February 1998 and Lee was later sentenced to six months in jail for violence against his ex-wife, according to the Los Angeles Times. The judge also ordered the drummer to pay a total of $6,200 to a battered women’s shelter, a victim restitution program, and a domestic violence fund.
Pamela Anderson has not commented on the Hulu series publically, but a source told Entertainment Tonight that it has been a “very painful” experience for her. In March, Anderson announced that she will “tell the real story” in a new Netflix documentary.
“My life. A thousand imperfections. A million misperceptions,” she wrote in a note on Instagram. “Wicked, wild and lost. Nothing to live up to. I can only surprise you — Not a victim, but a survivor & Alive to tell the real story.”
