Five Finger Death Punch ties for the third-most top 10s in the history of Billboard‘s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “Times Like These,” which rises from No. 13 to No. 9 on the Aug. 27-dated ranking.
The song is the Ivan Moody-fronted band’s 28th top 10, tying Tom Petty, who accumulated his haul both solo and with the Heartbreakers.
Only Foo Fighters and Shinedown, each with 29, have more top 10s in the chart’s four-decade history.
Five Finger Death Punch first reached the Mainstream Rock Airplay top 10 in 2008 with the No. 9-peaking “The Bleeding.” Of its 28 top 10s, 12 have reached No. 1, including an active streak of eight that “These” could extend. (That’s the most in a row, tied with Shinedown, which equaled the mark a week earlier.)

Concurrently, “These” pushes 35-32 on the all-rock-format, audience-based Rock & Alternative Airplay survey with 1.2 million audience impressions, up 15%, according to Luminate.
The song also jumps 18-13 on the multi-metric Hot Hard Rock Songs list, returning to its peak it initially achieved upon its debut (July 23). In addition to its radio audience, “These” earned 624,000 official U.S. streams in the Aug. 12-18 tracking week.
The track is the second single from AfterLife, Five Finger Death Punch’s ninth studio album and first since 2020’s F8. Released Aug. 19, the new LP is set to enter next week’s Billboard‘s charts, dated Sept. 3. Its title-track lead single topped Mainstream Rock Airplay for four weeks beginning in June and hit No. 2 on Hot Hard Rock Songs.
